For decades, the Martin Stadium concrete walls have echoed with the cheers of the most passionate fans, the sounds of Georgia’s finest band, and the footsteps of outstanding athletes. As we begin the 2026 season, leading the Viking program continues to be one of the greatest privileges for my family and me — one we hold close to our hearts every day.
At the heart of Lowndes Football is a single word: COMPETE. You’ll find it throughout our program printed on gear, displayed around the stadium, and spoken in our locker room. But it’s more than a slogan. It represents the values we build our team on: Character, Opportunity, Mental Toughness, Physicality, Excellence, Team, and Effort. These traits are what we strive to instill in our players — not just to succeed on the field, but to grow into strong students, committed professionals, and dependable fathers and husbands. When you see someone wearing “COMPETE,” we hope it serves as a reminder of what it truly means to be a Lowndes Viking.
